Guests delight in the local scenery and use Highland View as a base to tour the breathtaking scenery of the West Highlands of Scotland.

Set amidst some of Scotland's finest mountains, where wild life abounds, the area is a paradise for walkers and climbers. Castle Stalker is a very short drive away, and a trip on the magical Road to the Isles to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle is a must. Castle Urquhart at Loch Ness or the beautiful Hebridean Islands of Mull and Iona are highlights of any visit to the West Highlands. Numerous historical sites are all around the area. Many of our guests from Australia, Canada and the US retrace their family history and seek their ancestors who emigrated.

Just over the Ballachulish Bridge is the site of the Appin Murder, imortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped". A short drive takes you to the site of the infamous Glencoe Massacre set amidst the brooding mountains of Glencoe.

There are several excellent restaurants nearby specialising in Highland food and local seafood.

If you wish to take in the stuning scenery you can stretch your legs on the shore path or simply look out your window or enoy the splendour from the private patio.
