Glencoe Mountain Resort

Glencoe Mountain resort is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on Rannoch Moor and offers stunning views of the iconic Buachaille Etive Mor.

In winter skiing, snowboarding, sledging and avalanche rescue training are available and the resort has both the longest and the steepest ski run in Scotland.

In summer the centre offers chairlift rides, mountain biking (Downhill and XC), tubing, hill-walking, climbing,  photography, panoramic log cabin café and the High Wire Adventure high ropes courses open in April.

Fort William Mountain Festival 2020

Fort William Mountain Festival is a celebration of all things adventurous and outdoors - bringing together athletes, speakers, films, photographers and outdoor enthusiasts from a whole variety of backgrounds, the festival aims to encourage others to get out and explore the wilderness around them.

Have you seen the video?  Scottish Enduro event with a crazy mass-start stage down a snow slope start. Macavalanche is an epic stage Enduro race that takes place on the stunning Glencoe Mountain in Scotland. It’s renowned for its big scenery, friendly vibe and the  ‘mass start’!

UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Championships

6th & 7th June 2020 


An event not to be missed and the only one of its kind in the UK - Fort William is regarded as the spiritual home of downhill and is probably the best attended downhill round on the World Cup circuit. Fans in their thousands regularly descend to the uncompromising slopes of Aonach Mor and the Nevis Range to watch the world's elite take on one of the longest tracks in downhill.

All deposits are non-refundable.  

Booking balance is due on day of departure (debit card or cash).  

Check-in from 4.00pm - 6.00pm (please kindly advise if you wish to check-in at a later time).

Check-Out: Anytime before 10.00am.

In the event of a no show (no communication to advise if you may arrive later than 6pm on the booked and confirmed arrival date) 

full cost of the booking will be charged.  Please kindly note we are happy to accept later arrivals but only when advised and agreed accordingly.

Any booking cancelled within 14 days of the booked arrival date will be charged the full amount.

Highland View operate a no smoking / no vaping policy.

No pets allowed unless guide dogs for the visually impaired.

Where a booking has been cancelled or payment taken for "no show", we will endeavour to re-let the booked room and offset this as a partial refund wherever and whenever possible.

We politely advise/suggest holiday insurance is taken out to cover any/all eventualities.

Guests delight in the local scenery and use Highland View as a base to tour the breathtaking scenery of the West Highlands of Scotland.

Set amidst some of Scotland's finest mountains, where wild life abounds, the area is a paradise for walkers and climbers. Castle Stalker is a very short drive away, and a trip on the magical Road to the Isles to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle is a must. Castle Urquhart at Loch Ness or the beautiful Hebridean Islands of Mull and Iona are highlights of any visit to the West Highlands. Numerous historical sites are all around the area. Many of our guests from Australia, Canada and the US retrace their family history and seek their ancestors who emigrated.

 Just over the Ballachulish Bridge is the site of the Appin Murder, imortalized in Robert Louis Stevenson's "Kidnapped". A short drive takes you to the site of the infamous Glencoe Massacre set amidst the brooding mountains of Glencoe. 

There are several excellent restaurants nearby specialising in Highland food and local seafood.

If you wish to take in the stuning scenery you can stretch your legs on the shore path or simply look out your window or enoy the splendour from the private patio.
